Final Extra Credit
For this assignment, I would ask students to create a list of five of their interests and hobbies. Entrepreneurs are often more successful if they create a business based around something that they have previous experience in and know well, rather than tackling a random new idea. Take these five hobbies and interests that you have identified and identify two businesses that are related to the activity that you have chosen that already exist. State the opportunity that those businesses have outlined and how you think they were able to capitalize on this opportunity. I believe that this assignment will help students develop a mindset of identifying opportunities within a market.
I really liked your hook at the beginning of your pitch! I thought you were very persuasive with your proposal and successfully convinced the target market to use your service. Moreover, when you said that the fees were included in the marina, it didn't make it sound like a big price hike which made the idea of using your service more enticing.
ReplyDeleteI think your business idea is a strong one. I think you could have dressed up a little nicer, maybe just have a button-down shirt on. Other than that, I feel like you could have explained more how many boats there are per marina and how much of the money you would make per membership to the arena. This would show the investor that he has a way to make money if he invests in you.
ReplyDeleteBut overall a great first elevator pitch.
I think your elevator pitch was really good! You spoke with confidence and expressed your idea clearly. I think it's pretty hard to convey everything you need to to be able to pitch a business well in 60 seconds, but you did a good job! nice work.
ReplyDeleteYou do a great job explaining your product and what it is! You really portray your emotions and how much you care about its success. You present the information clearly and confidently which always helps in a presentation.
